This ought to be pleasant
Congratulations the the Yankees. Congratulations to Aaron Boone, who has gotten the New York press and baseball public off his case at least until...next spring. Maybe.But enough about them. Today, I get to go to work and have everybody, especially those fair-weather, post season only baseball fans, gloat at me...this should be pleasant. I do have friends who have always been Yankee fans, but most people I know caught Yankee fever somewhere around 1996. I haven't known anybody in my office for that long, but it makes me feel good to question their loyalty, and to imagine how quickly their devotion will turn to indifference when Steinbrenner inevitably fires Torre & Co. and destroys yet another terrific Yankee dynasty.
