As if starting at 9:30 on a Saturday morning wasn't evil enough

I'm taking a course so that I can volunteer as an ESL/Adult Literacy tutor. I've done similar work in the past, and I really enjoy it, but do not enjoy the teaching style of the people leading the course.

Maybe it's just because I've been out of college for several months now and am no longer used to sitting in a class, but I really don't think that's it. They're alternately patronizing, explaining easy concepts several times - and this is not just my opinion, but also that of others in the class who've never before done this kind of work - and then annoyingly blythe when it comes to giving non jargon-y explanations of ESL/education theories that those of us who haven't gone to school and studied these fields.

There are only three more classes left, but I am already resentful of losing another 10.5 hours of my life to these torturous classes.
